What’s your biggest admin headache?
Pick one. Here’s what we do about it.
Invoicing: “Raising invoices one by one, then chasing them.”
Invoices raise themselves
An invoice goes out when a booking is confirmed. Nothing to type up afterwards.
Take payment and see who has paid
Collect upfront fees or a share of turnover through Stripe. Paid, pending and overdue are on your dashboard.
Your accounts stay in step
Connect Xero or QuickBooks and the books update without anyone keying it in twice.
Vouchers and flexible fees
Issue vouchers traders can redeem against their pitch fee, on top of upfront, turnover-based or tiered pricing.
Trader CRM: “Trader details spread across inboxes and spreadsheets.”
Every trader in one searchable list
Contact details, what they sell, their setups and their history with you.
Application forms and a pipeline
Build forms with conditional questions, then move applicants through your own stages. Keep a prospect list for outreach.
See how each one is doing
Attendance, payment history and ratings across all your markets.
They keep their own profile up to date
Traders edit their own details, photos and product descriptions, so you don’t have to.
Scheduling: “Working out who goes where, every single week.”
Book from the calendar
Place traders on pitches for each market day, then move, swap or copy bookings as plans change.
Pitch offers
Offer a pool of spots, first come first served, or a guaranteed fee, with a note for traders.
Pricing by date, and deposits
Charge different pitch prices by weekday or date range, and take a deposit to hold a booking.
Site plans
Upload your layout or pick it from a map, then place pitches so everyone knows where they set up.
Messaging: “The same questions, answered forty times.”
Message traders from one place
No more digging through email and group chats to find what was agreed.
Market day briefs send themselves
By Sunday morning traders already have the weather, the layout and their arrival time.
Confirmations, reminders and interest polls
Emails go out when a booking is made, moved or cancelled. Polls tell you who is free before you commit to a date.
Support tickets and Slack alerts
Traders raise tickets your team can assign and answer, with alerts in Slack. They get a notification centre and calendar sync.
Compliance: “Finding out the insurance lapsed after they’ve set up.”
Expiry alerts
You hear about an insurance certificate or food licence before it runs out.
One place for every document
Certificates, licences and permits, stored against the right trader.
Checked before market day
See which booked traders have a missing or expired document while there is still time to fix it.
Share with the council
Export or share compliance records with councils and partners.
Accreditation: “Guest lists, wristbands and a queue at the gate.”
Passes for ticketed events
Issue digital trader, staff and guest passes tied to a specific market day or festival.
Tiers and zones
Give each ticket tier its own zones and allocation limit, so a pass only opens the areas it should.
Public request forms
Staff, press and guests request accreditation online. You see every request and its status in one list.
QR scanning at the gate
Scan passes on arrival to check people in and confirm they are cleared for that zone.
Reporting: “Knowing it was a good month, but not why.”
Revenue and turnover
Revenue, turnover and commission by market, trader and date range.
Aged debtors
See overdue payments early, with payment reminders built in.
Occupancy and attendance
Pitch occupancy, attendance, cancellations and no-shows, broken down by tag.
Weather against takings
See how the weather moved turnover, and plan the next season around it.
Market morning, before and after.
Running a market is about people. The spreadsheets, loose cash and endless message threads are the part we take off you.
Pitch fees
Before: Counting cash and matching bank transfers to names.
Now: Invoices go out when you confirm the booking, and late payers get a reminder without you asking.
Documents
Before: A binder of certificates, checked at the gate.
Now: Expired insurance is flagged before market day, not on it.
Who’s coming
Before: Scrolling back through the WhatsApp group.
Now: Every booked trader has the brief: arrival time, pitch, weather.
Who turned up
Before: A clipboard and a pen that has stopped working.
Now: Walk the market and tick traders off on your phone.
Set up in an afternoon.
We import your trader list, they fill in their own details, and payments are connected before you close the laptop.
- 1
Send us your trader list
We import your spreadsheet for you.
- 2
Let them finish their profiles
Traders add their own details and documents.
- 3
Add your markets
Dates, pitches and prices take a few minutes each.
- 4
Connect payments
Link Stripe, Xero or QuickBooks and start invoicing.
Works on the phone in your pocket, because that’s where you are on market day.
- Walk the market
- Do your trader checklist stall by stall, and mark arrivals as you go.
- Send a message
- Reach one person, or everyone booked for the day, from your phone.
- Traders get their own login
- They see their bookings, invoices and documents, and stop asking you for them.
Market management software FAQs
Something else? hello@mrktmanager.com
What is market management software?
Market management software gives market operators one place to manage traders, applications, pitches, bookings, payments, compliance documents, communications and reporting.
Who is MRKT Manager for?
MRKT Manager is built for people who run street food markets, farmers markets, craft and makers’ markets, council and BID markets, night markets, seasonal pop-ups, festivals and food halls.
How much does MRKT Manager cost?
You pay per booking, where a booking is one trader on one pitch on one market day. The first 250 bookings in a month are £2, $2 or €2 each, the next 250 are 1.50 and bookings 501 to 1,000 are 1.25. There is no subscription, setup fee or per-user charge, and a month with no bookings costs nothing.
Do traders pay to use MRKT Manager?
No. Traders get a free dashboard to apply, see their bookings, pay invoices, upload documents and report takings. The organiser pays the platform fee.
Can MRKT Manager automate trader bookings and payments?
Yes. Confirming a booking emails the trader and raises an invoice through your own Stripe, Xero or QuickBooks account. Pitches can be priced as a fixed fee or a percentage of the trader’s takings, and unpaid invoices get automatic reminders.
Which payment and accounting systems does it work with?
Stripe, Xero and QuickBooks Online. You connect your own account and choose one of them as the place invoices are raised. Payment status flows back automatically. It also connects to Slack, Mailchimp and Google, Apple and Outlook calendars.
Does MRKT Manager help with trader compliance?
Yes. Traders upload insurance, food hygiene certificates and other documents with an expiry date, and your team verifies or rejects each one. A compliance page lists upcoming bookings where a document is missing, rejected or due to expire before market day.
Can I move over from spreadsheets?
Yes. Send the MRKT Manager team your trader list and market details as a spreadsheet and they import them for you. Traders then complete their own profiles and documents. Past bookings and invoices from another system are not imported.
Which countries and currencies does it support?
Organisers can run in pounds, US dollars, euros or Canadian dollars, with UK or US English wording. UK VAT is built in. Other taxes, such as US sales tax, are handled in your accounting package.
Is there a mobile app?
There is no native iOS or Android app. MRKT Manager is a website that works on a phone and can be installed to the home screen, with push notifications for organisers and traders.
Try it before your next market day.
Pay per booking, with every feature included.
